PAME, greets the workers’ struggle in France.
Solidarity Message
Dear colleagues,
PAME (All Workers Militant Front), representing class oriented trade unions of Greece, greets the workers’ struggle in France. Nowadays in France, as well as in all European countries, a new attack against social security rights, health and welfare is planned.
New measures to abolish full and stable job are promoted and part time employment is extended.
New reversals in working relations are planned, achievements are eliminated and the value of the labor force is compressed.
Antilabor policy goes hand in hand with the intensification of terrorism by governments and employers and the hit of trade union action and popular liberties. Capital considers social security and labor rights as an obstacle for its profits and development.
The basic axis for these political forces is the strategy of capitalist restructurings, the E.U. decisions based on Maastricht and Lisbon treaties aims at liberating capitals’ activity, increase its competitiveness and profits.
This strategy is not a temporary phenomenon. It results from capitalism’s needs, in conditions of capital’s globalization and the intensification of the monopoles competitiveness.
Dear colleagues,
The attacks that workers confront within all countries have almost the same characteristics. They have the same targets. Thus coordination, cooperation and international solidarity are needed in order to successfully confront this attack.
We believe that there are two lines in conflict within the European trade union movement. There are two opposite logics and strategies.
One is the strategy of trade unions which support the companies’ competitiveness, that are compromised with the “constructive dialogue”. This is the strategy of the ETUC and the ITUC.
At the opposite side are the class oriented trade unions united to the W.F.T.U. line. The W.F.T.U. is an organization which, since its foundation, has steadily been by the workers’ side. It has always been and is next to the people who struggle against the exploitation of man by man.
Dear colleagues,
A big part of the working class in Europe today wants to “do something now” for not losing what’s left.
Today a few people are getting richer by the exploitation of the many. This is the reality and we have the duty to react, resist, counter – attack and massively assert our rights, the satisfaction of our demands.
Having these thoughts we send a solidarity message to the workers in transport sector in France and to all workers who struggle and reject the capital’ s policy in France, the policy of the European Union.
